Customer and supplier portal
If the data is already there, customers and suppliers can work with it too: the portal is not a second data world, but a secure view of the central process space.
The starting point
Customers ask for order status by e-mail, suppliers send delivery notes as PDFs, complaints run through mailboxes and Excel lists. Yet almost all the answers already sit in the ERP and the surrounding systems.
Classic portal projects often fail because they build their own data world: duplicated master data, duplicated maintenance, duplicated errors.
The solution with LUMINAQ
The portal emerges as a view of the existing process space: central business partner and customer data, ERP data and QA processes become usable externally – role-based and secured.
Central business partner model
Customers, suppliers and contacts are maintained once, centrally. The portal uses the same records as ERP, CRM and visitor management – no duplicate maintenance.
ERP data as one view
Orders, purchase orders, dates and documents come directly from the ERP. The portal is just a view of them – no second truth is created.
Complaints via NCR
Complaints run through the same NCR process that already exists internally. The partner reports in the portal – action, status, feedback and the related documents come from the QA process and the DMS.
Secure access
Partners sign in via Microsoft Entra External ID or other authentication methods – role-based down to function level.
This is what it can look like – yours looks like your process.
The building blocks in use
ERP, documents and QA processes provide the content – the portal does not build its own data store.
One business partner, one record: roles and permissions decide who gets which view.
Complaint, query, approval or document exchange use the same process building blocks as internally.
Customers and suppliers work in the browser – in a shared process space instead of e-mail ping-pong.
The result
Fewer status requests, fewer media discontinuities: partners find their answers themselves – and their reports land directly in the right process.
The boundary between inside and outside disappears where it only gets in the way: one process space, different views, the same truth.
