Scanner processes

With handheld scanners – for example from Zebra – tasks are completed where they occur: in the warehouse, on the line, at the ramp and, thanks to the cloud, on the road.

The starting point

Between warehouse, production and shipping, hundreds of small captures happen every day: postings, inspections, photos, proof. Anyone who has to go to a PC for that captures later – or not at all.

The information then only exists on slips of paper, in heads or as photos on private phones – with no link to order, item or customer.

The solution with LUMINAQ

At LUMINAQ, the scanner is a first-class process channel: the same processes, the same data foundation – in an interface built for the road.

Defect capture with defect tree

Non-conformances are documented on the device – with a central defect tree for comparable analyses and photo documentation straight from the camera.

Loading documentation

Load securing and loading are documented with photos and checkpoints – the proof is attached to the case, not lost in a photo gallery.

Warehouse postings on the device

Receipt, issue, transfer, bin to bin: posted at the moment of handling – not later at a PC.

Information on the go

Item data, stock levels, production and CRM information are available on the handheld – on site and, thanks to the cloud, on the road.

Favourites and guided steps

Every employee sees their processes as favourites and is guided step by step – in the language of the warehouse, not of the software.

This is what it can look like – yours looks like your process.

Building blocks in use

Connect

Stock, orders, items and customer data reach the device from the leading systems – postings flow back.

Organise

Every capture – photo, posting, inspection – is attached to the right object: item, order, delivery, customer.

Execute

Each capture triggers the follow-up process: non-conformance, action, proof, approval.

Interact

Rugged handhelds with cameras – for example from Zebra – and an interface built for gloves and a hectic pace.

What it looks like on the device

Stylised view of the scanner interface: favourites on top, processes in groups, every step guided – from stock to shipment documentation.

The result

Capture happens in the moment – complete, assigned and analysable.

Less rework at the PC, less lost information, reliable proof from goods receipt to loading.
